As children, you and your best friend promised one another

that if one of you were ever turned into a vampire that they would turn the other as well, so you could be best friends
forever.
Of course, you both knew that vampires didn’t really exist, so the promise was eventually forgotten as juvenile fancy.
As you grew up together, you spoke no further of it.
