There are realms of existence beyond the knowledge of humanity. Early humans talked of gods and demons, but as we grew, science pushed back against our ignorance and revealed new planets and horizons. Yet still those fears of something beyond us remain. The fears of something in the dark, in the spaces between.
The Advent Dawn was constructed as an intergalactic colony vessel, sent to find a new home for the thousands of hopeful souls aboard her. Equipped with an experimental transdimensional drive, Advent Dawn disappeared following the first planned jump, and never thereafter re-established contact.
For years, crews spoke of seeing the hulking behemoth in the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Some even said they tried to board the ship.... but all those stories end in blood.
Old spacers say this ship is full of precious cargo. Cargo worth braving the many horrid perils within: beasts from across the galaxy, cyborg monstrosities, even a cannibal cult that serves the ship itself.
For you see… the Advent Dawn is no longer fully herself. After crossing through the fabric of spacetime, this ship entered the space between space, and when she returned… something came back with her.
This Ship Is a Tomb is a 72+ page derelict crawl through a massive vessel that changes as you explore. Designed for the Mothership sci-fi horror RPG, this module was inspired by stories like Event Horizon, the reavers of Firefly/Serenity, the borg of Star Trek, and of course the Alien franchise.
