Ambin Silfverspear stepped off the railing with a big sigh of relief. Almost a full month had she spent on the ship that had taken her from the capital city of Bastion to the obscure colony called Windheim. It felt strange to walk on solid ground once more.
So this was Foamsvale? The town from which the Bastionites first settled and then conquered this godsforsaken island. There were tales in the capital almost as old as the city itself of great artifacts and magical treasure to be found here. Ancient dwarven weapons and forgotten relics. There was no better place to go to find these things, or to experience untamed wilderness, it was told. She would sleep the night here and then she would head off out into the wild. Her father would regret not naming her his heir. She would show him! The world shall know her name!
Traces of Darkness is part one of the epic campaign Horn of the Dawn, set on the island of Windheim. This scenario takes the adventurers through a feared mountain pass and beyond, where they will uncover ancient secrets, treachery, and cold blooded murder.
Included are also a few adventure seeds, written by guest authors Robert J Schwalb, Maria Ruthgård and Robert Jonsson.
Traces of Darkness is published under the third party license for the roleplaying game Dragonbane, by Free League Publishing, and you need the core rulebook to play this Adventure.
