Tales tell that the Primeval Deities were created in a massive clash of magic when the most powerful demon faced off against the most powerful dragon, many thousands of years ago. The Gods saw the struggle between dragons and demons and wanted to create a safe place for themselves. Kheldizn, the First, conceived in her mind a sphere within which they would be safe from the evil turmoil and destruction outside. And so she created Eshfera. The other Deities came together and conjured a magical barrier that not even the most powerful Dragon or Demon could pierce through. And within it they created land, sea and sky. They also created most of the kin as we know them today: Elves, Dwarves, Humans, Mallards and Wolfkin.
Windheim is a world setting for the roleplaying game Dragonbane, by Free League Publishing, and is published under the third party license for the game. You need the core rulebook for Dragonbane to use this supplement. The Windheim Companion describes the inhabitants, cultures and locations of the massive island, and is a great tool for a game master when running adventures on Windheim.
